Due Diligence, Project Verification and Strategic Advice
We are being increasingly requested to carry out due diligence and project verification work, and to provide strategic advice to investors and lenders. RMR expect this will become our main activity in the next decade, as it represents the logical best use of our detailed repertoire of field experience and independence of other corporate or engineering interests.
Work of this sort already carried out includes:
- A strategic analysis of the environmental and social implications of the Ta Sang Hydropower Project (Myanmar);
- A review of the status of mitigations and compensations for the Nam Song Diversion Project (Lao PDR);
- A review of the status of the mitigation and compensation programme of the Theun-Hinboun Hydropower Project (Lao PDR);
- A verification of accidental damage at the TCDRI Cement and proposals to rectify (Lao PDR);
- Development of a model for predicting social and environmental costs of hydropower development projects in Laos (A Social and Environmental Screening and Analysis Model for Economic Evaluations (SESAMEE)) for the World Bank Power Sector Development Plan (Lao PDR).
